R Sage Smith is an author and illustrator of picture books, graphic novels, and middle grade books. She loves all things story, especially when it includes humor and the fantastic.

Since graduating from Norwich University of the Arts with an illustration degree, Sage has worked across graphic design and social media alongside her illustrative practice. She is an active and recognized member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

Sage was born in Orange County and has lived there before and after her stint in the lovely Norwich, England. In her spare time, she enjoys attending book events, trying every matcha in SoCal, and writing songs about her dog, Angus.
